The Cathy DeCaterina School of Theatre Arts is open to all ages and experience levels seeking to improve their theaterskills, build confidence, prepare for upcoming productions, or enjoy just for fun!.
A range of classes and workshops are taught for children and adults with topics for artists who want to be onstage, backstageor both. Workshops include acting, musical theatredance, costume design, set design, lighting and sound design, understanding scripts, directing, stage management, makeup, choral singing, dialects, creative dramatics, and more. Audition workshops run periodically featuring the directors of upcoming Theatre Bristol productions.

Founded in 1965 by Cathy DeCaterina, Theatre Bristol is a community theaterserving all ages that also has the distinction as the oldest continually running children’s theaterin Northeast Tennessee. Located on historic State Street in Bristol, it also serves Southwest Virginia. Its main stage season consists of drama, comedy, and musical productions that take place in the ARTspace, a multi-purpose, black box theater which seats up to 120, and at the Paramount Center for the Arts. Theatre Bristol is a volunteer-operated community organization.
