E&H Theatre Department Presents ‘Look, We are Breathing’
Those who die young are mourned for their lost potential, but what if Mike, a high school hockey player who dies suddenly, never showed much potential?
The play, “Look, We are Breathing,” which seeks an answer to this question, is staged by the Emory & Henry College theater department. The play, which will be presented in the Blackbox Theatre of the McGlothlin Center for the Arts, begins at 7:30 p.m. from Feb. 17 to Feb. 19 and at 2 p.m. on Feb. 20.
The play focuses on those who knew Mike and sorts through their difficult feelings in the aftermath of his death. His mother, Alice, his AP English teacher, Leticia, and his one-time hookup, Caylee, try to understand who Mike was – and who he might have become.
The play is directed by E&H theater professor Patrice Foster.
Tickets for the production, which is for mature audiences, may be purchased in person at the box office in the McGlothlin Center for the Arts, by phone at 276-944-6333 or at www.ehc.edu/mca.
