This year's juror was Abingdon native Vaughan Whitney Garland, Director of the Arts Library at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
Arts Alliance Mountain Empire (AAME) hosted a reception on August 2 to celebrate the 2007 Art in Public Places (AiPP) sculpture installations. More than 80 people attended the event held at the Paramount Center for the Performing Arts in Bristol, Tenn.
