IN FOCUS: Stardust Costume Party

Several events are being held in conjunction with the exhibit "Stardust Rising: The Art of Charles Vess" at William King Regional Arts Center, Abingdon, Va..

A costume party was recently held for Charles Vess to choose a royal court for the Stardust Festival to be held Sept. 8 at the Arts Center. The names of the winners will be revealed in the September edition of A! Magazine.

Among the pictures shown below:

• The Autumn Forest Faery (harpist Sandra Parker) and Pan (Matus Betko) provided music for the "Stardust" receptions
• The Out of the Blue Faery (Shannan Roark) greeted visitors to the show
• Youngsters who made wings, crowns and wands in a faery workshop.
• Guy Noire of the Black Forest (Pat Jessee) waved her magic wand over the costumed guests and turned the eventinto a fantasy which was difficult to bid farewell as the night came to an end.
