JOHNSON CITY-East Tennessee State University students taking the course Shakespeare and His Age, taught by Dr. Robert Sawyer, accepted the challenge of coming to class on Halloween dressed as characters from plays written by William Shakespeare or his contemporaries.
Sawyer, appearing as Doctor Faustus, welcomed a colorful assortment of costumed figures, including fairies and maidens from A Midsummer Night's Dream, tragic Ophelias, and even a hunchbacked Richard of York.
