Jan-Carol Publishing of Johnson City, Tennessee, announces the release of "Musings from a Jonesborough Front Porch" from local author Helen Thatcher. This offering is of essays created, over time, while sitting on a porch in Jonesborough, the oldest town in Tennessee. The essays are of sightings from the porch itself and of musings on scenes and events remembered while enjoying the peaceful ambience that only a screened porch can afford.
Thatcher is a Scot who came from a small town in Scotland to Tennessee with her Chattanooga-born husband. They settled in Jonesborough where they have enjoyed living, gardening, caring for two Airedales and numerous cats.
Jan-Carol Publishing includes the imprints Mountain Girl Press, Little Creek Books, Express Editions, RoseHeart Publishing, and DigiStyle. Each imprint specializes in a particular genre - from Appalachian stories to children's books and more.
