KINGSPORT, TN - Kingsport artist and educator Patti Lawrence is the new program planner/art teacher for KingsportARTS. Classes for this year's art program focus exclusively on the visual arts (i.e. painting, drawing and sculpture) and are based on 20th-century artists and art movements.
Students learn about the historical significance of each artists work and have the opportunity to create in a variety of media.
Some of the artists include Georgia O'Keefe, Picasso, Matisse and Calder.
Classes are held one Saturday per month for different ages groups.
