Lisa Boardwine is a fine artist living and working in Grundy, Virginia. She received her associate's degree in liberal arts from Southwest Virginia Community College in Richlands, Virginia.
She also studied art at Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, Virginia and advanced her knowledge through numerous workshops. She was mentored by renowned artist John Alan Maxwell, famous for his illustrations in such publications as The Saturday Evening Post, Collier's Weekly and Women's Home Companion, among others. She is a signature artist member of the Baltimore Watercolor Society and of the Virginia Watercolor Society. She offers workshops to art groups and a long distance mentoring program.
After traveling for 26 years participating in outdoor art festivals, her work is represented by galleries and arts centers. Her work has been exhibited in venues across the United States, from New York to Miami and many states in between. Additionally her work has been presented in Padua, Matera and Venice, Italy. She is represented by MFA, a commercial/residential art placement business in Nashville, Tennessee; Cindy Saadeh Fine Art in Kingsport, Tennessee; Carlton Gallery in Banner Elk, North Carolina; Crossroads Art Center in Richmond, Virginia; Golden Palette Gallery in Grundy, Virginia and Appalachian Art Center in Claypool Hill, Virginia.
