When touring the Birthplace of Country Music Museum with Peyton Boyd, principal architect for the museum, he is always quick to point out the contributions that others made.
Boyd glosses over his accomplishments including being the only architect between Knoxville, Tennessee and Blacksburg, Virginia to be named to the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects. He also received the highest honor bestowed by the Virginia Society AIA to an architect, the Noland Medal, which honors a distinguished body of accomplishments, sustained over time, which spans a broad spectrum of the profession and transcends the scope of normal professional activities.
In keeping with Boyd's spirit of inclusion, here are a few others who worked diligently to make the museum a success.
