In 2006, Arts Alliance Mountain Empire launched the Art in Public Places (AiPP) project, which raised money to support sculpture in our community and coordinated the installation of six artists' creations in downtown Bristol for one year. That year is coming to a close, and the artists will return to Bristol the last week of July to de-install their work.
"Extraction of Arrows" by Catherine Murray won the people's choice poll 2006 Art in Public Places exhibit.
The 2007 AIPP project is in full swing, and new art has been chosen for the next exhibit, which will be installed Aug. 1. Nine sculptures have been selected by 2007 juror Vaughn Whitney Garland.
Donations are still being accepted.
