Slide Show Offers Look at Abingdon's Wolf Statues

ABINGDON, VA -- Abingdon's "Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolves" public art project offers a unique exhibit of 27 wolves in everything from sheep's clothing to elaborate "Hollywolf" finery.

* Beginning Oct. 23, 2009, purchase a chance to win a wolf. Raffle tickets are $5 -- available at the Abingdon CVB, 276-676-2282. The winner will be contacted following the drawing during a Gala on Nov. 13.

* Gala Auction Nov. 13, 2009, from 7-10 p.m. at the Martha Washington Hotel Ballroom. Dress is black tie optional. Tickets are $50 ($95 per couple), available for sale at the Abingdon CVB, 335 Cummings Street, 276-676-2282.

Proceeds benefit Advance Abingdon, a Main Street organization. 276-676-2282.
