WASHINGTON - - State arts agencies expect modest gains in their state legislative appropriations for FY2007, according to preliminary data reported to the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies.
Forty-six states and jurisdictions are expecting increased appropriations or level funding from FY2006. This is the third consecutive year of appropriations increases. Aggregate appropriations are projected to total $348 million in FY2007, an increase of $17 million or five percent, although more than half of that growth is concentrated in Florida alone.
