Student Ticket Subsidy Grants Available from TAC

September 23, 2013

The Tennessee Arts Commission, in partnership with the Tennessee Department of Education, is offering Student Ticket Subsidy for Public Schools.

According to Ann Brown, director of the Commission's Arts Education program, up to $3,000 will be awarded for arts field trips or in-school performances. There are also 100 approved artists for STS events.

Student Ticket Subsidy provides funds to Tennessee public schools to expose students to a broad variety of cultural experiences, arts disciplines, and artists. Funding is allocated according to school age population and demand by county. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis until all funds are expended, and must be received a minimum of 30 days prior to the start of the project. The pplication process is now open. For more information or to apply for a grant, visit www.tn.gov/arts/Student_Ticket_Subsidy.htm
