A cherished holiday tradition continues this December, as Maestro Cornelia Laemmli Orth gathers the region’s musical community together for two incredibly moving holiday concerts, “By the Fireside.”
The concerts are performed Saturday, Dec. 2, at 3 p.m. at the Toy F. Reid Eastman Employee Center in Kingsport, Tennessee, and Sunday, Dec. 3, at 3 p.m. at the McGlothlin Center for the Arts at Emory & Henry College in Emory, Virginia.
This annual family favorite is filled once again with inspirational classics, festive carols and fun surprises. Performing with the symphony this year are Voices of the Mountains, Mountain Empire Children’s Choral Academy, Mountain Mission School Choir, Academy of Strings and jazz guitarist Andy Page.
Also onsite for fun and photos are Santa Claus and The Grinch.
