TFTA Introduces Arts Advocacy Toolkit

May 27, 2008

FRANKLIN, Tenn. -- Tennesseans for the Arts (TFTA) introduced a highly-anticipated Arts Advocacy Toolkit during Talk To Me, Tennessee: A Statewide Conversation About The Arts, a conference held recently in Franklin.

According to Stephanie Conner, executive director of TFTA, the toolkit includes a step-by-step guide for advocating for the arts.

"We are excited about this bold initiative. The arts are vibrant and are changing lives in Tennessee. We hope this toolkit will help TFTA spread the word about the importance of the arts to all citizens of our state."

As part of a statewide public awareness campaign, the Arts Advocacy Toolkit provides templates for communicating the message of arts changing lives in education, cultural tourism, preservation of cultural heritage, performance, business and economic development.

The toolkit was developed by Walker & Associates, a public relations firm based in Memphis.
