About the Gallery
The Arts Depot is home to seven resident artists and 200 members. The historic freight station also has three art galleries. The juried Spotlight Gallery features six exhibits each year by emerging, established and master artists from a wide region. The Members Gallery gives local member artists an opportunity to display and sell their artwork. The Founders Gallery hosts several group exhibits and events throughout the year.
Resident Artists interact directly with visitors, and sell a variety of art including clay art, 3-D tapestry weaving, jewelry, portraiture, watercolor, acrylic, pet portraiture, oil, batik, “21stCentury Trash Art” and more. More than 70 consignment artists sell their jewelry, fiber art, prints, sculpture and other items.
The sale of affordable, quality locally created art helps support The Arts Depot’s mission to promote regional artists through working studios and gallery exhibits, provide arts educational opportunities, maintain financial sustainability and expand community outreach.
The Arts Depot holds two special events during December. A Holiday Open House is held Dec. 1 from 6-8 p.m. Children ages pre-school through middle school are invited to drop-in and create a free art project Dec. 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Gifts start at $10.
