About the Gallery
The Ford Studios is a smallworks, studio gallery and home to featured artists Jon Ives of Jive Pottery and mixed media artist Rachel Gibson. The Ford Studios also offers the work of 10 to 12 additional artists including marbling artist Pat K. Thomas from Gatlinburg, Tenn., glass blower Tom Hower from Marion, Va., fiber artist Britta Cruz from Goochland, Va., and many others.
The Ford Studios features local and regional artwork on paper, framed and unframed,fiber art, painting, sculpture and lots of functional pottery in every price range, $5 - $5,000. Each and every piece is one-of-a-kind.Visitors come in to see the current show, a pottery demo or find the perfect souvenir or gift. And they will gift wrap purchases and ship them.
The Ford Studios creates a winter wonderland in the gallery with 20+ holiday trees and the smell of pine wafting in the air for the holidays.During the week of Merry Marion, Dec. 1-3, they will also offer a free Make-Your-Own Holiday Card Station featuring vintage-style, Dickensian funny faces as well as warm, spiced apple cider and holiday sweet treats.
