Trung Phan creates his senior photo series

May 28, 2014

Trung Phan, originally from Rome, Ga., is a senior at King University with a double major in theatre and photography. Phan recently created a photo series based on music albums called "Tiny Trung," and shared some of the photos.

""Tiny Trung' came about when I was on the final leg of finishing my final for a photography class. I had finished most of the assignment, but was very unhappy with it. It really said nothing about what kind of an artist I was. I had 12 hours before the final in the morning and took inspiration from one of my concept photos. The original concept was music albums, and one photo had me leaning out of a ukulele. I liked it well enough that I decided to abandon my original concept and started a completely new set that became "Tiny Trung.' I had 11 hours to shoot and edit before the 8 a.m. time limit. "Tiny Trung' is a series I want to continue, because it is a turning point for me that was brought to my attention after the assignment. The series captures both my photography skills and my theatrics on camera."
