Westfall Orthodontics makes donation to William King Museum of Art

June 21, 2016

ABINGDON, VA – Westfall Orthodontics continues its tradition of support and care through a generous contribution to William King Museum of Art's summer camp Educational Fund. The support of Dr. Chad Westfall and his team ensures that children living in the Appalachian region are given the opportunity to attend this year's "Road Trip USA" summer arts camp, where they will explore and create in a variety of artistic mediums.

Dr. Westfall shares WKMA's understanding that creative expression is an important part of the educational process, stating, "Summer camp is an excellent opportunity for children to learn in a fun and creative environment. The program offered by WKMA is a wonderful opportunity for the children in our community to gain exposure to the arts, which I believe is important for every person."

Enriching the lives of children through art is a fundamental mission of the museum. By partnering with Westfall Orthodontics, WKMA will award six additional scholarships to youth who otherwise would not have had the opportunity. WKMA's summer camps provide an artistic adventure best described by Dr. Westfall, "I have heard wonderful things about the WKMA camps and know what a great opportunity the camp provides for many children to learn about the arts. Supporting and providing opportunity for the youth in our community has always been very important to me -- I was very happy to have a chance to work with the WKMA summer camp program and hope this is a partnership that can continue in the future."
