Winners of ETSU Digital Media Competition Announced

JOHNSON CITY, TN -- East Tennessee State University's Student ACM SIGGRAPH Chapter (the EDGE Club) recently held its annual digital art show and juried competition. The EDGE Club Art Show showcases artwork by ETSU students created in the past academic year.

Winning Best in Show and Best in Photography this year was Quanuquanei Karmue for his digitally recolored portrait of his grandmother.

Craig Lewis
received the award for Best in Digital Illustration for his piece "Truck in Field."

Cobalt Cox
was awarded Best in Graphic Design for his movie poster design "Counterpart II."

Anna Seaver received Best in Animation for her "Kisses Have Feelings Too."

Patrick Rawles won Best in 3D Modeling and Rendering for his piece "Beach by the House."

Joel Gerlach won both Best in Interactive Design and Best in Video Production for his "Deep Space" and "Breakfast."

The EDGE Club is a student-run organization for digital artists and designers on ETSU's campus.

Through social events, the bi-annual Fragocity™ LAN party, volunteer work, an annual art show, trips to design firms, and speakers from the industry, the EDGE Club strives to create an environment in which students can grow creatively, artistically, and professionally.
