Mountains of Music Homecoming resounds

The Mountains of Music Homecoming is held along The Crooked Road that winds throughout Southwest Virginia, but it has ties to Cape Breton, an island in Nova Scotia, Canada.

• Cultural events at Homecoming complement music The Mountains of Music Homecoming is not only nine days of music; it's also filled with cultural events. These events include art exhibits, hikes, kayak or canoe trips, a craft beer festival, a best friend festival, music jams and more.

• Storytelling Live has stellar line-up for June Storytelling Live!, the International Storytelling Center's teller-in-residence series, continues its season with a stellar line-up in June.
• Sunday with Friends literary series continues The annual Sunday with Friends literary series at the Washington County Public Library, Abingdon, Virginia, concludes with a talk from Martin Clark June 12 at 3 p.m.

• Pipino gives keynote address at Wisconsin Graduate Student Conference Kiara Pipino, assistant professor of theater at King University served as the keynote speaker at the 15th Annual University of Wisconsin Graduate Student Conference in Madison, Wisconsin.
